Cycling for Health

The Cycling for Health programme is a series of weekly led rides originally set-up in partnership with Epping Forest District Council. Cycling is a low impact activity that can be enjoyed by absolutely everyone. We have various rides taking place each week on traffic free routes, with the rides at a sociable pace and typically having a mid ride stop for a chat over a cuppa.

The rides are graded from easy (▲) to hard (▲▲▲), this grading is based on the gradients encountered on the ride and also the surface types. A typical ride will cover in the region of 10 to 12 miles (15-19km) in total, depending on route and overall speed of the group.

These sessions are designed for riders that are looking to regain fitness, confidence cycling, and looking for a friendly cycling group. All rides are run on traffic free non technical terrain such as country parks, towpaths and bridleways.
